Harvest Community
Homeschoolers

Lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest. John 4:35

We are...

a Christian homeschool co-op and support group,  meeting for field trips, parent support and educational activities for homeschool families.  Our home-base is Harvest Community Church in Kittanning, PA, although we are not a ministry of the church.

Our co-op is enrichment-based so as to be a blessing to families and to support varied homeschool programs..  Our goal is for learning to be fun at co-op. Additional opportunities for academic support will also be shared as we have resources available. We also desire the co-op to be a time of fellowship and networking for homeschool families, to share life and wisdom with one another.

We offer different levels of involvement so that families may choose...

  • to network online via FB
  • to do field-trips and occasional parent support meetings.
  • Or perhaps you're looking for more educational and social enrichment for your children; then you may like to inquire regarding making a commitment to join the Friday co-op, meeting approximately 2 times per month. There is an application process for co-op, which will include an interview. Members are asked to be in agreement with our statement of faith (below),  and must be committed to a local church community.

We believe...

The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God and constitutes His completed and final revelation to man. The Bible, in its original autographs, is without error in whole and in part. God has existed from all eternity in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ was God in human flesh being fully God and fully man, except without sin. All men are in violation of God's righteous requirements and His holy character both by nature and act, and are therefore under His wrath and just condemnation. The central purpose of the coming of Jesus Christ was to pay the penalty for man's sin through His substitutionary atoning death on the cross, the successful accomplishment of which was attested to by His subsequent visible, bodily resurrection. Salvation is offered as a gift, free to the sinner. This gift must be responded to by individual faith, not trusting in any personal works whatsoever, but in the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ alone.

We network...

On Facebook: We have a general group, and a co-op specific group on Facebook.

We ask...

Our members to be committed to serving and attending a local Christian church You are invited to attend our host church, Harvest Community Church, on Sundays at 9 or 11.
